not so little green man

This is one of my favourite toy patterns; I have knitted him many times over the years with a variety of face and uniform colours.
The pattern came from a Peoples Friend magazine in the 90’s which someone gave to my mum as they knew she was a knitter.
He measures 45ch from head to toe, and took almost as much time to sew together as he did to knit.He should have a belt buckle and laces but as he was made for my son when he was 2 I decided not to put them on.
I asked the publisher if I could postthe original magazine pictures but they don’t have the copyright, so you will just have to settle with “Green Man” as my son named him when he was 2.

Another was given to my cousin over 10 years ago, he called his AL.Al is still going strong but did have to have an eye replaced last year after an accident. I was glad that I had to buy the eyes in bags of 50 at the time I knitted my first one as it meant I still had some left. I have lost contact with most of the children who received one of these toys, so it is nice to know my little cousins is still going strong, and still loved
